A Special Session on AI Applications to Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineering (HHE07) will be held during the 3rd Indian International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IICAI-07) . The session focuses on artificial intelligence applications in hydrology and hydraulic engineering. The Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Genetic Algorithm (GA), and other AI applications to hydrology and hydraulic engineering will be considered.
The topics covered by the session include but are certainly not limited to the following:
- Rainfall-Runoff Modeling
- Flood Forecasting and Flood Routing
- Flood Control and Floodplain Management
- Water Supply and Distributed Systems
- Storm water Management and Urban Drainage
- Drought Analysis and Management
- Groundwater Hydrology
- Stochastic Hydrology
- Water Resources Management
- Water Conservation and Rainwater Harvesting
Hydraulic Engineering (HE)
- Computational Hydraulics
- Environmental Hydraulics
- Dam Break Flow Analysis
- Hydraulic Structures and Hydropower
- Sediment Transport Modeling
- Scour Processes and Modeling
- River Modeling and Management
- Coastal Hydraulics
Authors are encouraged to submit papers for this session. Papers on any of the topics can be submitted as an email attachment to any of the conveners (contact details given below). The papers should be in WORD or PDF format and should be formatted according to the Springer Lecture Notes instructions. The length of a paper should not exceed 20 pages. The first page of the paper should contain the title, name(s) of the authors, affiliations, the postal and email addresses, and at least 3 keywords appropriate to the content of the paper. Further information regarding paper submission can be obtained from the session organizer or session coordinator (addresses given below), or access the conference website.
All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings of the IICAI-07, under the title of the session. A few selected papers of exceptional quality will be nominated for consideration for possible publication in the Journal of Applied Soft Computing (JASC). The conference papers would have to be revised and enhanced in quality for consideration for publication in JASC.
The following deadlines will be adhered to for the organization of the session HHE07:
