Multi-Agent Systems (IICAI-07)


		Special Session on Multi-Agent Systems at The 3^rd Indian International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IICAI-07) December 17-19, 2007, Pune, India


	A Special Session on Multi-Agent Systems will be held during the 3^rd Indian International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IICAI-07). A Multi-Agent System is a macro-system composed of autonomous agents which pursue an individual objective and which interact in a common environment to solve a common task and enables designing more and more complex applications. Nowadays, Agent and Multi-Agent techniques play a crucial roles in Ambient Intelligence, Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing, Complex Systems, Grid Computing, Services Oriented Computing, Semantic Web and many other areas. The topics covered by the session include but certainly not limited to: • agent-oriented software engineering • programming multi-agent systems • multi-agent architectures • multi-agent-based simulation and modeling • autonomous robots and robot teams • collective and emergent multi-agent behavior • self-organization in multi-agent systems • computational complexity in multi-agent systems • cooperative distributed problem solving in multi-agent systems • cooperation and coordination • argumentation and auctions • agent models and theories of agency • frameworks, infrastructures and environments for agent systems • multi-agent evolution, adaptation and learning • multi-agent planning • negotiation and conflict handling in multi-agent systems • privacy, safety and security in multi-agent systems • scalability, robustness and dependability of multi-agent systems • social and organizational structures of multi-agent systems • specification languages for multi-agent systems • verification and validation of multi-agent systems • e-institutions • e-commerce • ambient intelligence,ambient systems • novel computing paradigms (e.g. autonomic, grid, P2P, ubiquitous computing) • web services and semantic web Paper Submission and Publication: Authors are encouraged to submit the papers for this session by accessing the website: http://www.easychair.org/MASIICAI07. The papers should be in MSWORD or PDF format and should be formatted according to the Springer Lecture Notes instructions. The length of a paper should not exceed 20 pages. Shorter papers or papers on the work currently in progress are also welcome. The first page of the paper should contain the title, name(s) of the authors, affiliations, the postal and email addresses, and at least 3 keywords appropriate to the content of the paper. Further information regarding the paper submission can be obtained from the conference website too. Each paper will be peer reviewed by at least two experts in the topical area. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under the title of the session. You may contact the General Chair of the conference for any additional information. Deadlines: April 16th 2007: Paper manuscripts due. May 25th 2007: Notification of acceptance. June 25th 2007: Camera ready papers and Pre-registration due.
