A Special Session on AI Applications to Hydraulic and Environmental
Engineering (HEE2005) will be held during the 2nd
Indian International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IICAI2005).
The session focuses on artificial intelligence applications in hydrology
and water resources engineering. The Artificial Neural Networks (ANN),
Genetic Algorithm (GA), and other AI applications to hydraulic and environmental
engineering will be considered.
The topics covered by the session include but certainly not limited
to the following:
Hydraulic Engineering (HE)
-
Computational Hydraulics
-
Environmental Hydraulics
-
Dam Break Flow Analysis
-
Hydraulic Structures and Hydropower
-
Sediment Transport Modeling
-
Scour Processes and Modeling
-
River Modeling and Management
Environmental Engineering (EE)
-
Surface and Groundwater Pollution Modeling and
Management
-
Solid and Hazardous Waste Management
-
Biological Processes and Bio-remediation
-
Water and Wastewater Treatment
-
Environmental Systems Simulation and Modeling
-
Environmental Impact Assessment
-
Atmospheric Processes and Air Pollution
Paper Submission:
Authors are encouraged to submit
the papers for the session. The papers on any
of the three themes can be submitted as an email
attachment to Dr.
Ashu Jain, Session Organizer, HEE2005 @
IICAI2005 (the address is given below). The
papers should be in WORD, PDF, or PS format
and should be formatted according to the Springer
Lecture Notes instructions. The length of
a paper should not exceed 15 pages. The first
page of the paper should contain the title,
name(s) of the authors, affiliations, the postal
and email addresses, and at least 3 keywords
appropriate to the content of the paper. Further
information regarding the paper submission can
be obtained from the session organizer or session
coordinator (addresses given below), or access
the conference website.
Paper Publication:
All Accepted papers will be
published in the conference proceedings of the
IICAI2005, under the title of the session. A
few selected papers of exceptional quality will
be nominated for consideration for possible
publication in the Journal
of Applied Soft Computing (JASC). The conference
papers would have to be revised and enhanced
in quality for consideration for publication
in the JASC.
