1st Indian International Conference on Artificial Intelligence
                         (IICAI-03) December 18-20 2003, Hyderabad, INDIA

Call for Papers for Session on:

Advanced and Intelligent Image Processing Algorithms for Remote Sensing Data

Chair:

Dr. Manoj K. Arora*
Assistant Professor
Department of Civil Engineering
I I T Roorkee, ROORKEE, INDIA

Session Aims and Scope:

The main objective of this session is to deliberate on advanced, intelligent and efficient image processing algorithms for rapid and accurate processing of remote sensing data. Papers describing the research or development based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as neural networks, fuzzy sets, and machine learning to extract information from remote sensing data are solicited. This session seeks to cover topics in remote sensing image processing. Potential topics include, but not limited to:

Feature extraction techniques
Advanced image classifiers
Image Resolution Merging
Multi-source and multi-sensor classifications
Sub-pixel classifications
Change detection algorithms
Classification Accuracy Assessment

Paper formatting instructions are available at the conference website:

http://www.iiconference.org

Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Extended versions of some of the accepted papers will also be considered for publication with various journals and books (please see the conference website for details)

Those interested in contributing a paper to this session or requiring further information may contact Manoj K. Arora (mkarora@syr.edu). The deadline for draft paper submission is: July 1st 2003.
